Some of our students have been taking part in a writing competition. They were given 500 words to write whatever they want as a way to practice both their creative and writing skills. Below are the submissions from Miss Healey’s class.

I am pretty kind I'll help if needed. You can let me know if you want me to help you with anything. I am a fan of puzzles and I like playing football and chess. I am good at puzzles and football and challenges but I am sometimes not the best at challenges. I am different because I've got my own personality and I am just giddy and energetic. I feel strong when I am just being myself. I feel stronger when I know that I am feeling proud of myself. I stand up for people being bullied because that's unfair. I think it is important to stand up for people who are not in the wrong. In the future I would be an owl carer in an owl sanctuary but if that doesn't work out a truck driver driving trucks and sleeping in it. It will let me see new places. Something I want people to know about me is I don't give up easy. I am a Taurus and proud of it. Taurus is stubborn and also has a lot of patience. My message to the world is please do the right thing not turning to crime and to take care of one another and help when you can. The planet is a lovely place and you don't know what you could end up finding. People should help animals and build a better environment and Stay safe and stay happy that's what I do.

I am fun and I love Lego because it is fun to build with. People say I am interested in planes, trains and other methods of transport. They also say I am loving, caring and creative. People say I'm a lovely friend that considers other people.

I am different because I'm kind. I care about people, I look out for them and defend them. When I see something that is unjust, I like to call it out and back up my points with evidence. Recently I wrote a letter to the prime minster to share my concerns about the NHS being privatised. I believe healthcare is a human right and should not cost money. It is unfair for people to go into poverty because of a health condition. There are lots of people in our country that are suffering, such as homeless people. I believe we should help anyone who is suffering this is what makes me different. 

I speak when I see someone being harassed especially when someone is being racist. I believe that God is real and has protected me. In the future I hope to bike not for free time or as a job just bike. I would live on a bike if I could. As long as I have a good size bag to keep a sleeping bag I can sleep anywhere. I would like to be a firefighter to fight fires and to help people. I wish people understood that I am not like them. My message to the world is to listen to your friends and parents because they might have something nice to say to them and to understand people who are important to you.
